The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has developed a self-assessment tool, a 24/7 live online service that supports investors, health professionals and healthcare institutions free of charge.
The purpose of the service is to provide support and guidance to stakeholders and strengthen the sustainability of the emirate’s health sector.
Dr Marwan Al Mulla, Chief Executive Officer, Health Regulation, DHA, said the self-assessment tool is an important initiative that enables applicants who want to apply for a medical license to check that they meet all the conditions required to obtain a medical license to practice medicine in Dubai. Accreditation standard
Job titles and all licensing requirements are clearly mentioned in accordance with nationally recognized standards.
The self-assessment, he noted, is conducted by applicants by answering a few short questions, followed by an immediate initial assessment.
User needs to select the license category he is applying for. For example: Physicians, Dentists, Nurses and Midwives, Allied Health or Traditional Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
He said the service helps applicants, health agencies or investors ensure that applicants are eligible for the required permits without submitting any documents.
Document Verification Service
Al Mulla said authorities have developed another service to support Dubai’s health sector, called the Document Verification Service.
This smart electronic service allows the relevant authorities to verify the authenticity of all documents and certificates issued by the authority through the DHA’s online electronic licensing system known as Sheryan.
He said document verification services included documents such as sick leave approved by authorities, professional licenses, licenses of medical establishments, professional registration certificates and certificates of good standing.
Simple to use
The online service is simple to use, as users simply enter the barcode number and existing PIN code at the bottom of the document, and the user can see and verify the exact same copy issued by DHA.
Al Mulla added that the purpose of adding additional online services is to provide greater convenience to stakeholders, improve efficiency and reduce the time taken by these processes. — trade arab news agency
