[ad_1]

dnata, the world’s leading provider of air and travel services, facilitated the transport of more than 150,000 football fans between Dubai and Doha during the opening two weeks of the world’s largest football tournament.

dnata’s highly trained team of ground handlers, passengers and ramp agents have ensured that fans pass through Dubai World Central Airport (DWC). Dubai has become a popular stopover destination for fans attending the tournament as the airline rolls out “shuttle flights” operating between Qatar and nearby Gulf states.

dnata’s service between DWC and Doha saw more than 600 aircraft take off and land safely in the first two weeks of the race. To do this, more than 270 passenger and ramp agents at Dubai International Airport (DXB) have been repositioned from their current positions. A total of 90 pieces of ground support equipment (GSE) are used to service the aircraft, including zero-emission electric baggage tractors, conveyor belts and push-back tugs.

Fans looking to take their experience to another level will be greeted warmly at DWC’s marhaba lounge. Supporters can stay updated on the event via ultra-fast Wi-Fi and enjoy a complimentary international meal before heading out. marhaba’s Meet and Greet service is also available for fans looking to further enhance their experience.

Jaffar Dawood, Senior Vice President, Emirates Airport Operations at dnata, said: “We are committed to ensuring a pleasant journey for all football supporters by providing fast and efficient service at DWC so they can enjoy their fan experience whenever possible.
