two gentlemen Doug Emhoff will be titled as Film Association and starlight Tuesday’s event focused on women leaders in entertainment and government.
Emhoff will be the keynote speaker at the event, which is part of Starz’s #TakeTheLead transparent conversations initiative. Emhoff has hosted roundtable discussions with women and young girls around the world. Topics include workplace equity, equal pay, and protecting reproductive rights and healthcare.
The event was held at MPA’s Washington headquarters a day earlier International Women’s Day During Women’s History Month.
MPA Senior Vice President and General Counsel Karyn Temple and Starz Domestic Network President Alison Hoffman will also speak at the event.
Starz’s Transparency Talks brings leaders together for discussions around diversity, equity, and inclusion. The #TakeTheLead initiative aims to amplify narratives from and about women and underrepresented communities. Starz also supports a congressional resolution establishing September as a national leader in entertainment and the arts through Diversity Month (LEAD).
Emhoff focuses on gender equality issues.his appearances include a hearing in st louis Equal Pay Day 2021, most recently, spoke last month at a ceremony commemorating the 30th anniversary of the passage of the Family and Medical Leave Act by the Department of Labor.
Before Kamala Harris was elected vice president, Emhoff was an attorney in Los Angeles with a specialty in entertainment an intellectual property. He is now a distinguished visitor at Georgetown Law School.
