DP World, a leading smart trade promoter in the UAE, launched the ZODIAC training program, which is led by in-house UAE talents from the Port and Terminal Training Center (P&TTC). The program approved by City & Guilds has now become the accepted benchmark for effective training programs to increase utilization of the global supply chain.
The announcement was issued after the successful implementation of the ZODIAC automation system at Container Terminal 3 (CT3) in Jebel Ali Port, and specifically trained employees to use 18 internal integrated systems to effectively operate the automation system in 16 different areas. To date, the program has successfully trained 3,555 employees.
The main purpose of the training program is to bridge the knowledge gap of users and spread the awareness of the capabilities provided by ZODIAC to enterprises and companies so that they can better enter the supply chain. Training will also target customers, agents, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders.

ZODIAC can also assist in ground operation communication with the on-site foreman’s PDA device, and provide an automatic control system for terminal gates. All these systems are carefully orchestrated by artificial intelligence and machine learning.
