Dubai 10X gets 79 proposals from 33 gov’t entities

Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) has unveiled that 33 Dubai government entities have proposed a total of 79 project ideas in the third cycle of the Dubai 10X initiative. Initiated by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, this initiative aims to transform government services and foster a shift in mindset among public sector employees. It aligns with Dubai’s aspiration to be the world’s most future-ready city.

Dubai 10X fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing, with several recent projects emerging from partnerships between up to 11 entities. Dubai Municipality led the way with its involvement in 16 projects, the highest among all entities.

The third cycle involved over 25 workshops where government teams engaged in discussions and ideation to prepare for future trends, challenges, and opportunities.

Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of DFF, noted that Dubai 10X signifies a landmark in government cooperation, emphasizing Dubai’s commitment to pioneering the future. He praised the initiative for nurturing innovation, partnership, and shaping the future of governance.

Projects were evaluated based on factors like potential outcomes, implementation timeline, integration with other services, and impact on quality of life in Dubai. The approved projects will be disclosed at a later date.

Amer Abdulraoof, Director of the Dubai 10X initiative, highlighted the third cycle’s focus on innovative government services through partnerships. He emphasized the role of over 120 government employees from 33 entities, pooling their expertise to develop ideas across various sectors.

Launched in 2017, Dubai 10X has contributed to pivotal projects and innovative government services, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for pioneering governance models. The initiative has facilitated knowledge sharing and resource exchange among Dubai’s government entities.
