Dubai Business City has new corporate identity, embraces digital commerce

Dubai Business City, the first free zone dedicated to digital commerce by the Dubai Integrated Economic Zone Authority (DIEZ), has unveiled a new corporate identity in line with its new strategic direction, which focuses on transforming its operations and serving digital commerce .

The Wam news agency reported that this is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to cement Dubai’s position as the capital of digital commerce.

DIEZ Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said: “The strategic transformation we are witnessing today in Dubai Business City’s transition to digital commerce is in line with Dubai and the UAE’s strategic economic directives and plans “This will usher in a new phase of leadership, sustainability and growth based on knowledge, innovation and future technology applications. It will enhance the UAE’s competitiveness and solidify its leading position as the global hub of the most prosperous digital economy.”

“Our ability to respond quickly and adopt proactive solutions in the industry is a testament to Dubai Business City’s excellence in integrating with local and global digital economic systems, human resources and advanced technology. With these key assets, the Free Zone provides Superior solutions to help attract the fast-growing business sector to Dubai.

“The UAE is playing a leading role in shaping and building the future. It has established itself as a hub for innovation and leverages future technologies to drive business development, expansion and integration in global supply chains. This contributes to the goal of digitalisation through Develop an economic strategy to increase the contribution of the digital economy to UAE GDP for at least the next decade,” he added.

The free zone aims to intensify efforts to increase Dubai’s contribution to the country’s digital economy, which accounts for 4.3 percent of the UAE’s GDP. The free zone also aims to enhance Dubai and the UAE’s contribution to the global digital economy, which is expected to reach $800 billion by 2030.

The 2.1 million-square-foot, AED3.2 billion Dubai Business City is designed to support new and existing digital commerce companies in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.
