The President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, continued to receive condolences for a second day on the passing of Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Condolences were expressed at Abu Dhabi’s Al Mushrif Palace by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and his brothers Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance; and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai. Additionally, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, President of Dubai Airports Corporation, and CEO of Emirates Airlines, was present.
On the same day, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally flew into the country to extend his condolences to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.
Many other sheikhs, senior ministers, and high-ranking officials from around the world also joined the mourners at the palace. Among them were Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; Sheikh Thani bin Hamad Al Thani; Sheikh Al Qaqa bin Hamad Al Thani; and Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC).
Expressing sincere condolences and sympathy to Sheikh Mohamed and the entire Al Nahyan family, they prayed for peace and mercy for the late Sheikh Saeed and solace and patience for all during this time of grief.
