Dubai Derma generates $600 million in business deals


The 22nd edition of the Dubai World Dermatology and Laser Congress & Exhibition – Dubai Derma 2023 has concluded, generating record direct and indirect business transactions worth AED 2.2 billion (US$ 600 million).

The event attracted more than 24,000 visitors and participants from 114 countries, making it the largest to date. This underscores Dubai’s position as a leading international city for key industry connections, networking and exploring partnerships, and underscores the UAE’s position as a key global frontrunner in healthcare and science.

Dr. Ibrahim Galadari, Professor of Dermatology and Chairman of the Dubai Derma Congress, emphasized that the event is an educational institution and a mentoring opportunity for newly graduated doctors to improve their medical and cosmetic capabilities. Dr. Galadari emphasized the ethical aspects of the profession and the need to maintain the high quality that is the interface of the profession.

Dubai Derma 2023 is the largest scientific dermatology event in the MENA region and the Indian subcontinent, the three-day conference brings together eminent experts and experts in dermatology and cosmetics, industry leaders and Key decision makers. Several new product launches are showcased throughout the exhibition, and the conference hall showcases the latest breakthrough scientific research and results in the field.

Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of Dubai Derma and Chairman of Index Holding, acknowledged the event’s contribution to Dubai’s economic agenda, D33, which aims to double the size of Dubai’s economy over the next decade and strengthen its position in the top three global city.

Dubai Derma 2023 showcased over 1,440 international brands from over 480 regional and global companies. In addition, 340 international experts presented 360 scientific sessions, held 80 specialized seminars and presented 90 digital poster presentations of international professionals focusing on issues related to cosmetic surgery, lasers, cosmetic dermatology and anti-aging related developments.

The Dubai Derma is organized annually by Index Conferences and Exhibitions, a member of Index Holding, in partnership with the Pan-Arab Federation of Dermatology, the Arab Academy of Dermatological Aesthetics (AADA) and the GCC Federation of Dermatologists.

The event was supported by the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprosyologists (IADVL), Pakistan Association of Dermatologists, Sri Lanka College of Dermatologists and Georgia Society of Photodermatology and Skin Cancer.

Dubai Derma is also an official regional supporter of the World Congress of Dermatology, which will be held from 3-8 July, organized by the International Federation of Dermatological Societies. The 23rd Dubai Derma will be held from 5-7 March 2024. – trade arab news agency
