An Emirates flight originally bound for Singapore from Dubai had to divert to Malaysia due to “severe weather conditions,” according to an airline spokesperson. Emirates flight EK354 encountered adverse weather over East Asia on September 6, leading to an unscheduled stop in Kuala Lumpur.
The flight resumed its journey to Singapore on the same day at 7 pm local time, with passengers not required to disembark during the aircraft’s stay in the Malaysian capital.
The Emirates spokesperson stated, “We’ve been working diligently to get our passengers to their final destination promptly. Emirates apologizes for any inconvenience caused, prioritizing the safety of our passengers above all else.”
