Dubai Hotel Bookings 2026: Tourism Rebound Builds Ahead of Winter Season

Dubai Hotel Bookings 2026 Rise as Tourists Return Ahead of Winter Season

Dubai hotel bookings 2026 are showing signs of recovery as international travellers gradually return to the UAE and hotels prepare for the busy winter tourism period.

The Dubai hospitality sector faced a difficult period earlier this year as regional tensions disrupted travel plans and affected visitor confidence across the Gulf. Recent booking trends, however, suggest that demand is beginning to improve, with hotels preparing for more visitors in the final months of the year.

The recovery is particularly important because the cooler months are normally one of Dubai’s busiest periods for tourism. Hotels are now using the quieter summer season to prepare their properties and increase staffing before demand is expected to rise.

Why Dubai hotel bookings are improving?

Several factors are helping Dubai‘s tourism sector regain momentum, including better travel confidence, improved airline connectivity and stronger interest from international markets.

Hotels have reported improving demand from countries including the UK, Russia and other CIS markets, while travel businesses are also seeing greater interest in future Dubai holidays.

Dubai’s established tourism infrastructure is another advantage, with the city continuing to attract visitors through its hotels, shopping destinations, entertainment events and business activities.

Hotels prepare for a busy winter

Hotel operators are already preparing for higher demand by strengthening their teams and getting properties ready for the upcoming peak season.

Recruitment is picking up in areas such as front-desk operations, housekeeping, food and beverage, guest relations and sales, suggesting that hotels are becoming more confident about the months ahead.

The fourth quarter is expected to be particularly important because Dubai’s events calendar, festive celebrations and international travel traditionally bring more visitors during this period.

Dubai remains a major tourism destination

Dubai entered 2026 with a strong tourism base after welcoming 19.59 million international visitors in 2025, its third consecutive record year. Hotel occupancy averaged 80.7% during 2025, while occupied room nights increased by 4% from the previous year.

The latest improvement in Dubai hotel bookings 2026 does not mean the sector has completely returned to normal, but it does provide hotels with a more positive outlook for the second half of the year.

With the winter travel season approaching, the next few months will be important for Dubai’s hotels as they look to turn improving bookings into a stronger finish to 2026.
