Dubai Industrial City showcases manufacturing prowess

Dubai Industry City, a member of the Tecom Group, will showcase the strength of the UAE’s manufacturing industry at the second edition of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology’s (MoIAT) Make it in the Emirates Forum.

Organized by MoIAT in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), the forum was held from 31 May to 1 June as part of the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ initiative under MoIAT’s National Industrial Strategy An extension of 300 billion operations.

The initiative aims to establish the UAE as a global hub for future industries and encourage investors, innovators and developers to manufacture their products locally, taking advantage of the favorable business environment and benefits.

Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President, Industrial Leasing, Tecom Group, will participate in a panel discussion on ‘The Role of Industrial Zones’ at the UAE Forum. The panel will be held on the second day of the event to discuss the impact of industrial zones on the UAE’s manufacturing strategy.

Dubai Industry City will be participating in the ‘Make in the UAE’ forum with key clients who contribute to the economic goals of the UAE and Dubai through strategic manufacturing investments in the region.

Make it in the Emirates is a platform for business and government to discuss opportunities, address challenges and explore the competitive advantages available in the UAE such as incentives, enablers, infrastructure, financing and partnerships. As one of the region’s key industrial events, the forum will focus on sustainable industrial development, carbon reduction and increasing the contribution of the industrial sector to climate action.
