Dubai Investment Corporation, a leading investment company, has signed four Memoranda of Understanding in Amman, Jordan, as part of the MoIAT (Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology) ‘Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Growth’.
The signing marks Globalpharma, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments, and Emirates Float Glass as part of a collaboration in the pharmaceutical and glass industries.
Mohammed Saeed Al Raqbani, Managing Director of Dubai Investments Industries and Director of Globalpharma, attended the signing ceremony and signed three MOUs for Globalpharma with companies in Egypt and Jordan, while Ahmed Al Shared, Head of Operations, Dubai Investments, signed an MOU for Emirates Float Glass .

Raqbani said: “Dubai Investments is a strong contributor to MoIAT’s industrial strategy. These signings also coincide with Globalpharma’s 25th anniversary this year, reaffirming the company’s efforts to develop a longer-term, integrated approach to underpin competitiveness and stimulate regional growth .
“Globalpharma has developed a strong business plan that will provide knowledge and technology transfer; we also see numerous opportunities to introduce, manufacture and market a broadly diverse range of products to suit diverse populations.”
Globalpharma has signed a technology transfer partnership with Egyptian company Nerhado for advanced manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and nutritional supplements in the UAE.

The company is also collaborating with two Jordanian companies, Savvy Pharma and Itqan Pharma, to facilitate knowledge transfer in the area of value-added drug R&D, leading to expanded manufacturing and production. Also present at the signing ceremony were Dr. Mariam Galadari, Advisor to Globalpharma’s Board of Directors, and Dr. Basem Albarahmeh, Managing Director.
Al Shared said: “We are initiating a partnership between UAE Float Glass and Soda Chemical Industries. Essentially, the partnership will involve supplying UAE Float Glass with soda ash – one of the main raw materials for glass production .”– trade arab news agency
