Dubai Municipality Employs AI Robots for Material Testing

Dubai Municipality’s Central Laboratory deploys AI robots, equipped with X-Ray and advanced technologies, for automated chemical analysis and testing of construction materials, notably cement.

This innovative approach is linked to a smart platform, ensuring swift delivery of inspection reports via mobile devices.

By significantly reducing testing duration from days to minutes and increasing sample examination rates by up to 650%, Dubai Municipality aims to enhance construction testing services in line with global standards.

Hind Mahmoud Ahmed, Acting Director of the Dubai Central Laboratory Department, highlighted that the X-ray robots streamline chemical analysis, aligning with Dubai’s fast-paced construction industry.

This transformation accelerates results, aiding project timelines for consulting and contracting sectors.

This digital initiative aligns with Dubai Municipality’s commitment to pioneering AI technologies and digital solutions for improved service quality and operational efficiency.

This advanced technology doesn’t only expedite tests but also enhances the quality and sustainability of buildings by ensuring the accuracy of cement checks.

Additionally, it paves the way for specialized research studies aimed at assessing various building constructions and materials at the Dubai Central Laboratory.
