Dubai Municipality launches ‘GeoHub’ incubator

[ad_1]

Dubai Municipality has launched a geospatial business and innovation incubator ‘GeoHub’, one of the first in the region based on two ecosystems, the first for creativity and the second for innovation.

GeoHub was launched within the framework of a joint collaboration between Dubai Municipality’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Center and the Mohammed bin Rashid SME Development Agency (Dubai SME) and Hamdan Innovation Incubator.

The launch reflects the municipality’s commitment to provide the best services in line with international standards in all areas and the Dubai Government’s directive for a comprehensive smart transformation.

Certification standards

During their visit to the GIS Center, a delegation from Dubai SMEs and Hamdan Innovation Incubator assessed GeoHub and ensured its adherence to certification standards.

During the visit, the central working group reported to the delegation the goals, subscription technology and working mechanism of the GeoHub incubator. In addition, the team presents its achievements, including key projects and research in the areas of GIS and municipal work, as well as the services it provides, such as providing geospatial services and data to facilitate innovative projects, creative spaces, and geospatial software and licenses.

In the future, experts and consultants will provide members and entrepreneurs associated with the incubator with the support they need to implement projects, and the center will further organize workshops to attract investment in creative geospatial initiatives and projects.

latest working model

The incubator aims to develop the latest work models, develop directives to consolidate the municipality’s leadership in fostering best creative practices, support start-ups, provide leading companies with investment opportunities in municipal work, and attract new geospatial innovation, research and development in Dubai status.

The new working model strengthens Dubai Municipality’s partnerships with academic institutions and investment companies, aiming to create an effective and sustainable communication system to ensure creativity and innovation in support of its strategic vision. — trade arab news agency
