On Saturday, August 7, the Emirates Road and Traffic Authority (RTA) opened a new 170-meter bridge at the intersection of Nad Al Sheba and Dubai-Al Ain Roads.
The bridge is made up of two lanes in each direction and serves traffic to and from Dubai-Al Ain Road, which leads to Nad Al Sheba, Meydan and nearby development projects. RTA Director General and Chairman of the Executive Board Mattar Al Tayer stated that the construction of the Nad Al Sheba overpass is part of the Dubai-Al Ain highway improvement project currently undertaken by RTA.

He explained: “It involves building six key intersections along the road and widening them from three lanes to six lanes in each direction.” The project spans 17 kilometers from the junction of Dubai-Al Ain Road and Emirates Road. It extends to the intersection of Bu Kadra-Ras Al Khor.
