Dubai Police wins award for “Happiest Place to Work”-News

The Happiness@Work Award aims to recognize the happiest and most innovative organizations in the region.

The Dubai Police is the happiest workplace in the public sector, and Schneider Electric is the best workplace in the private sector.

The 4th Happiness@Work Awards (2020 edition) held every year in Dubai recognizes and honors the happiest and most innovative organizations in the region, which undermine existing employee engagement and well-being norms to create workplaces The new normal.

The award was established by Sustainable Mindz, the Strategic Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility Center for the Gulf and the Middle East and North Africa, to promote happiness and motivation in the workplace.

In the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) category, the award was awarded to Xworks Interiors LLC; and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology-Government Affairs (KAUST) received the honor in the non-profit category.

This issue selects regional companies that stand out in terms of creating a happy workplace, achieving a good work-life balance, focusing on sustainability, and a series of other positive measures to create an inclusive workplace.

There were a total of 40 nominations. Based on multiple parameters, the jury evaluated seven different award categories, with the happiest workplace at the helm.

As the first initiative in the UAE and the wider region, Happiness@Work Award has completed four cycles. So far, 54 organizations have won 64 awards in 6 different categories.

The Dubai Police in the public sector and Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation (FNRC) won the Best Employee Participation Program category award; Aafaq Islamic Finance in the private sector, Paramount Computer System for SMEs; and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology -Government Affairs (KAUST) in the non-profit sector.

In the “Best Workplace Health Plan” category, L’Oréal Middle East and Schneider Electric from the private sector were announced as the winners, while in the list of SMEs, Xworks Interiors LLC and Paramount Computer Systems won.

In the category of the best worker welfare program, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology-Government Affairs (KAUST) was the winner, while the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club received the Happiness@Work Appreciation Award.

As a public sector entity, the Dubai Police won the award in the Best Work-Life Balance Program category, while the Ras Al Khaimah Customs Department won the Happiness@Work Appreciation Award.

The City of Sharjah won the “Best Workplace Sustainability Program” award from the public sector, and Xworks Interiors LLC from the SME sector. The private sector winner in the Best Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Program category was Schneider Electric, while L’Oréal Middle East received the Happiness@Work Appreciation award.
