Dubai secures global aviation center role

Dubai solidifies its global aviation leadership, welcoming 41.6 million passengers in H1 2023, surpassing 2019 numbers. This momentum is projected to continue throughout the year, exceeding pre-pandemic levels.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum attributes this success to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s visionary leadership and focus on excellence.

Dubai Airports revised its full-year forecast to 85 million passengers due to sustained growth. Multiple sectors, including tourism, travel, aviation, and hospitality, have rebounded post-Covid-19, generating job opportunities and population growth.

Tourist numbers have exceeded pre-pandemic figures, with over 8.5 million visitors in H1 2023.

The thriving hospitality sector has experienced nearly full occupancy during festivals, while job creation continues. The Emirate is anticipated to witness further job growth in 2023-2024, driving GDP expansion. Dubai remains a safe haven, attracting tourists and fostering economic resurgence.
