Dubai to host region’s first Skift Global Forum

[ad_1]

Dubai will host the Skift Global Forum, the first extension of the world’s flagship travel conference to be held in the region, featuring global industry leaders from across the travel industry.

The event is scheduled to be held at Madinat Jumeirah from December 13th to 15th.

The forum will also explore tourism in the MENA region on a wider scale and delve into the future of the industry.

Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Tourism and Business Marketing, said: “Dubai’s choice to host the region’s first global forum reflects the city’s leading position as a dynamic industry hub in the MENA region.

“The city’s decades of excellence in tourism, hospitality and travel, as well as its stellar presence in hosting major international events such as Expo 2020 Dubai, have all bolstered the trust of global stakeholders in Dubai’s ability to become a regional and an important partner in the development of international tourism.”

The two-day forum will explore the state of the industry in the post-pandemic era, the intersection of technology and marketing, and advances in user experience and design for consumers. The event will also discuss how sustainability will play an increasingly important role in the travel business, how progressive modern economies are using travel as the economic engine of the future, and many more topics.

Skift Global Forum East will host a series of presentations by leaders, changemakers and innovators from the world’s leading travel brands including Emirates, Jumeirah Group, Dubai Airports, Hilton, Wego, Kerzner International, Etihad aviation etc. The event’s various discussions will foster a global exchange of ideas and collaboration between the West, Middle East and Asia.

Since its establishment in 2012, Skift has become the most influential brand in global travel. It has pioneered a new kind of hybrid digital and face-to-face B2B media company – enabled in large part by technology and data analytics to build deep global impact with a small footprint.

Other key topics to be discussed at the forum include global consumer-facing trends and macro drivers for the coming year; how hospitality will adapt to the continued convergence of lifestyle and work in travel; the growth of emerging inbound markets and how suppliers can adapt to these developments ; how technology, collaboration and regional growth will spur demand; how meetings and events will fuel growth in future destinations, and how the Middle East will become an important focus for the global travel industry in the coming years. – trade arab news agency
