Dubai announced that it will host POPC Live!-a five-day pop culture event. The first event will be held in March 2022 next year.
The event will be organized by entertainment companies Waverider and Galaxy Racer (GXR), which is Dubai’s leading e-sports organization. It will showcase the city as a leading destination for culture, innovation and talent.
What can you expect in the event?
The five-day event will host groundbreaking experiences and unique events for the first time in the region.
According to the Dubai Media Office, some of the most famous celebrities in the world will participate in the event. Visitors can look forward to an expansive e-sports area, tournaments featuring celebrities in the gaming and entertainment industries, as well as pop culture groups, seminars, conferences and concerts.
Developers, publishers and e-sports teams will stimulate the interest of gamers and e-sports enthusiasts, and visitors will also have the opportunity to connect with international social media stars and industry leaders. PUBG Mobile, League of Legends and Dota2 tournaments will be held, and top international teams will compete for cash prizes.
The e-sports area will also host a number of community tournaments and the GirlGamer World Finals.
For comic lovers, there will be the opportunity to meet and greet celebrities, visit Artist Alley and visit the movie club. The exhibition area will have comic book houses, toy companies, film and television brands, etc.
