Dubai’s tribute to Begum Akhtar: Epic biopic with 40 Malhaar artists

Dubai’s Malhaar Centre for Performing Arts presents an Indian musical celebrating Ghazal Queen Begum Akhtar‘s life and music on October 28 at 7:30pm at the Emirates International School auditorium in Jumeirah.

The show depicts her inspiring journey of courage and artistic mastery, tracing her path from Bibi Sayyed to Begum Akhtar.

Titled ‘Haaye Akhtari,’ the musical delves into her pain, loneliness, and her soul-stirring romance with music.

This production combines live music, dance, and theater, promising an unforgettable experience for the audience, highlighting the enigma of Begum Akhtar’s life and her quest for soulful singing in a challenging era.
