Fort Bliss, Texas. — The U.S. Army Sergeant Professional Academy recently recognized six international graduates of the Sergeant Professional Academy by inducting them into the International Military Student Hall of Fame.

Two of the six inductees were nominated by Sergeant Major J. Garza, the senior leader of US Army Central Command. Senior Soldiers from two partner countries, Major Hassan Ali Kaidi Karam of the United Arab Emirates Army and Major Salem B. Mustafa of the Jordanian Armed Forces, were both honored for their outstanding service and impact on their respective countries’ armies.

“Major Hassan and Major Mustafa’s induction into the Sergeant Major International Hall of Fame is a testament not only to their skills and abilities, but also to their dedicated ability to serve their country among the highest ranks of Soldiers,” said Commander U.S. Army Central Chief Sergeant Major CSM J. Garza said. “It has been a great honor to serve alongside outstanding Partner Nation senior NCOs who represent the best of our soldiers, and I am thrilled to see them selected today.”

The recognition of these international graduates is an important reminder of the value of collaboration and cooperation between different national and military organizations. The U.S. Army’s recognition of these international graduates is a testament to the power of partnership and the importance of recognizing excellence in all its forms.

“It’s a need, it’s a requirement. It’s a requirement that we train with and receive training from partner countries,” said Quentin J. Cormier, director of the Office of Chief International Military Students at the NCO Center for Leadership Excellence. “The benefit of the International Student Hall of Fame, which means that the U.S. military recognizes those strategically nominated positions that graduates of the sergeant program go out, are now able to obtain those positions. ”

The NCO Center for Leadership Excellence International Student Hall of Fame was established on June 26, 2009 to recognize and honor international student military organizations who have achieved the highest positions in their respective countries’ armed forces or equivalent positions in multinational militaries. The Hall of Fame provides a prestigious and visible means of recognition for these exceptional individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication and commitment to service.

USARCENT deepens military partnerships by conducting approximately 20 military exercises with our partners each year. The command also conducted more than 200 theater security cooperation activities with 17 nations, including seminars, conferences and educational exchanges. Mutually beneficial partnership and alliance structures are our greatest strategic advantage.
