EA announced the integration of its sports and entertainment divisions, creating separate teams for both sides of the business.

Wilson also said that teams will take on more financial and creative responsibility and be accountable to their respective team leaders.
Today, we are announcing the next step in our strategy to consolidate our studios into two organizations reporting to me – EA Entertainment and EA SPORTS. This evolution of our company continues to empower our studio leaders with more creative ownership and financial responsibility to make faster, more insightful decisions around development and go-to-market strategies. These steps will accelerate our business, drive growth, and deliver long-term value to our employees, players, and community.
He also introduces Laura Miele, who has been named president of EA Entertainment, Technology and Central Development. before her appointmentDuring that time, she served as chief studio officer and led EA worldwide. She’s the head of the studio that made Battlefield, Need for Speed, and the vast EA Sports game library. Laura brings 22 years of marketing and analytics experience to her new role. She also serves on the board of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
Working under her is legendary game designer Vince Zampella, known for bringing Call of Duty to the top. Battlefield series as of now. Samatha Ryan will continue to lead the single-player game, while Jeff Karp will lead the mobile game.
Also announced today is the appointment of Cam Webber as President of EA Sports.Webb has been a critically acclaimed leader “Madden” series Worked for many years and will now take over the entire EA Sports studio.
Wilson concluded the post by saying:
Over the next few months, Stewart, Laura, Cam and David will work closely with studio leadership to implement these organizational changes, further embedding dedicated capabilities into franchise teams and driving operational rigor. Chief Strategy Officer Mihir Vaidya will now report directly to me, and our entire management team, together with Chief People Officer Mala Singh and Chief Legal Officer Jake Schatz, will focus on executing on our core strategy to drive performance.
