Edge unveils Skyshield anti-drone solution at Idex 2023

Edge, one of the world’s leading advanced technology and defense groups, has launched Skyshield, a multi-layer integrated Counter Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System (C-UAS) solution.

Developed by Edge’s electronic warfare division, SIGN4L, Skyshield will play a key role in future counter-drone operations.

The launch took place on the opening day of the International Defense Exhibition (Idex 2023) in Abu Dhabi.

The solution includes advanced sensors, 3D radar, electro-optic (EO) cameras, direction finders and effectors networked to Edge’s unified command and control (C2) system, providing real-time situational awareness and the ability to automatically detect and use Edge deception and jamming Solutions and other key countermeasures to address drone threats and defeat them.

Skyshield is highly modular in design and can be configured for fixed installation in critical areas to protect critical infrastructure, or packaged as a rapidly deployable solution for use in a variety of civilian and military vehicles, trucks and ships. This comprehensive system features automatic 360° detection and defeat for anti-drone protection and targets the military, law enforcement, security and VIP protection markets.
