Abu Dhabi has launched a series of exciting festive experiences on Eid al-Adha, offering residents and visitors a weekend full of unmissable events, from immersive cultural experiences to stunning fireworks, family fun and games festivals and unmissable “stay” deals.
At 9pm on the first day of Eid al-Adha, spectacular fireworks will light up the Abu Dhabi Corniche, the Haza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain and the sky over the city of Zayed. Additionally, Yas Bay will showcase a vibrant fireworks display at 9pm every day for the first three days of Hari Raya. Visitors can enjoy the views from the Yas Bay Waterfront and Yas Mall’s terraces, take advantage of some of the retail and foodie deals on offer, and make the most of the Eid weekend.
Spanning the Eid weekend, the 11-day Yas Games Festival will entertain families and teens with the latest in video games and gaming tournaments. Starting July 7, visitors will be able to enjoy action games for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Xbox, experience legendary games in a retro arcade zone, or go head-to-head with friends in a life-size racing simulator.
The program will also include daily stage games and activations, including Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros, daily prize missions and role-playing competitions.
Al Ain’s main cultural site will also host community events immersed in Emirati culture during Eid al-Adha. Families are invited to celebrate the festival at Al Jahili Fort, Qasr Al Muwaiji, Al Ain Palace Museum, Bait Mohammed bin Khalifa, Al Qattara Arts Centre and Al Ain Oasis, where they will receive children’s treats and gifts.
Bait Mohammed bin Khalifa will be partnering with Creative Space Studio to host an Eid al-Fitr studio event for family and friends to capture their picture-perfect moments. Inspired by a cultural environment inspired by the spirit of the historic building, two dedicated studio spaces will be open July 9-10 from 5pm to 10pm.
