Eid al-Adha: Pakistan will increase its flight capacity to 50% from July 15-News

From July 15th, Pakistan has increased the capacity of inbound international flights to 50% to help repatriate Pakistanis overseas before Eid al-Fitr next week.

The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) and the Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) approved domestic and foreign airlines to increase their flight operations to Pakistan as the global pandemic situation improved after the rapid introduction of vaccination.

“In view of the recent improvements in the Covid-19 situation around the world, the Pakistani government has increased its international flight operations by 50%. According to the notice (Notam) sent to pilots by the Civil Aviation Administration of Pakistan on Tuesday evening, the increase in flight schedules will increase by 7 It will be implemented on 15th.

Due to the increase in Covid-19 cases, CAA has reduced international flights to Pakistan to 20% on May 2.

An airline official said: “In view of the significant decline in Covid-19 cases that occur every day around the world, NCOC has allowed the Civil Aviation Administration to increase the number of international flight operations to 50% from July 15.” Khaleej Times.

The increased capacity of international flights to Pakistan will help non-resident Pakistanis living in the Gulf countries book flights to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families in the country.

More than 5 million overseas Pakistanis live in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. In addition to operating small businesses, they also work in the private and public sectors.

“All Pakistani airports have been instructed to be ready to handle more passengers before Eid Al-Fitr next week. We expect this will result in 2,500 to 3,000 passengers arriving every day,” a Civil Aviation Administration official said.

Aviation sources said that the increase in flight capacity to Pakistan is a positive development and will help to resume flights from Pakistan to the UAE after the Eid holiday.
