    Ukraine’s nuclear power authority said it cut generators at Europe’s largest nuclear power plant from the grid after the site of the facility was shelled by Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Moscow’s shelling of the facility was an “act of terror”. Russian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian troops opened fire twice on Friday at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, Europe’s largest atomic facility, and called for sanctions on Moscow’s nuclear industry.

    Covid outbreak: Tropical Sanya, ‘China’s Hawaii’ locked down, 80,000 tourists trapped

    On Saturday, Chinese authorities locked down the seaside resort city of Sanya, often referred to as “Chinese Hawaii,” indefinitely, trapping at least 80,000 tourists in an effort to contain the fast-spreading Covid-19 outbreak. Sanya, a city of more than 1 million, is a tourist hotspot and the capital of Hainan Province, located on the country’s southern coast. “We urge the general public and tourists to understand and support,” the Sanya city government announced on social media.
