Emirates commemorates global sporting events with new campaign

[ad_1]

Ahead of the peak seasons for football, tennis, rugby, cricket, golf, horse racing and more, Emirates has launched an inspiring advertising campaign to make its mark on the world’s top sporting events.

Premiere at Wembley Stadium on June 3 during the Emirates FA Cup final – the 60-second spot grabs attention with cinematic highlights, featuring Arsenal stars and Lancashire Cricket players Wearing England uniform.

“Don’t just fly, fly better”

Following the launch of the ‘World Football Lovers’ and ‘Cricket Lovers’ campaigns last year, Emirates continues to spread its wings to every corner of the world, bringing sports fans closer to the action and creating lasting memories.

The ad starts with a young boy eager to fly, and with the fancy footwork of Arsenal players Aaron Ramsdale and Ben White, and the mid-air scissor-footed shot of Arsenal star Bukayo Saka, he is quite happy. Enter a world full of action and excitement.

Players from Lancashire Cricket Club – England’s Phil Salt and Richard Gleeson – also showed up to play for the fans.

The ad also features exciting tennis players in action, horses shooting from traps, golf, rugby and more exciting moments. Narrated by British actor Jason Flemyng, the ad ends with the airline’s brand promise – “Don’t just fly, fly better”.

Conceived and written by Richard Billington, Emirates Senior Vice President Marketing and Brand, and directed by Academy Award-winning director Wally Pfister, the campaign will run across all global media platforms from 3 June, including TV, online and digital channels.

Strong supporter of sport, sponsoring more than 130 events per year
Emirates has been a proud supporter of sport for 35 years and first sponsored a powerboat race in Dubai in 1987. Since then, the airline’s portfolio has grown significantly to include some of the most famous teams and championships in football, golf, tennis, rugby, cricket, horse racing and sailing.

The airline sponsors more than 130 sports and 8 cultural events. Emirates uses its platforms to support local communities, connect with customers globally and bring fans together to celebrate shared passions. The airline also connects with the community through music, film and literature by sponsoring international festivals around the world.

Fans can look forward to a packed sporting calendar this year: UAE FA Cup Final (June 3), Emirates Tour de France (July 1), US Open 2023 (August 28), DP World Tour Championship (November 16), Rugby World Cup 2023 (September 8), ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup (October) and more. – trade arab news agency
