Emirates expands operations in mainland China

As China reopens its borders and eases coronavirus-related entry restrictions, Emirates will strengthen its presence in China ahead of the Lunar New Year, strengthening connectivity to its gateways in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing.

Shanghai
From January 20, 2023, Emirates will resume passenger services to Shanghai, with two flights per week operated by Airbus A380 aircraft, of which EK302 flies directly from Dubai to Shanghai, and EK303 makes a short stop in Bangkok before returning to Dubai. From 2 February 2023, the frequency of this service will increase to four times a week, operated by Class 3 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

During this period, Emirates flight EK302 will depart from Dubai at 03:45 and arrive in Shanghai at 15:40. The return flight EK303 will depart from Shanghai at 17:40, arrive in Bangkok at 21:45, depart from the capital of Thailand at 23:20, and arrive in Dubai at 03:20 the next day.

From 1 March, Emirates will further enhance its Dubai-Shanghai route with a daily non-stop service. Emirates flight EK304 will depart Dubai at 09:15 and arrive in Shanghai at 21:05. The return flight EK303 will depart from Shanghai at 23:00 and arrive in Dubai at 05:20 the next day.

Guangzhou
Emirates currently operates direct flight EK362 from Dubai to Guangzhou, and return flight EK363 from Guangzhou to Dubai via Bangkok, four times a week.

From 1 February 2023, the airline will increase services between Dubai and Guangzhou, with EK362/EK363 operating daily direct flights as the flagship Emirates A380. Emirates flight EK362 will take off from Dubai at 10:45 and arrive in Guangzhou at 21:45. Return flight EK363 will depart from Guangzhou at 00:15 and arrive in Dubai at 05:15.

Beijing
Emirates flight EK308/EK307, operated by a three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, will fly daily from Dubai to Beijing, the capital of China, from 15 March. Emirates flight EK308 will take off from Dubai at 10 o’clock: 50 hours and arrive in Beijing at 22:20. The return flight EK307 will depart from Beijing at 00:40 and arrive in Dubai at 05:00.

This will bring the airline’s weekly operating flights in the market to 21, providing more choice and flexibility for business and leisure travelers and contributing to the recovery of China’s tourism industry.

Serving China for nearly two decades, Emirates has built its presence in the Chinese market through strategic partnerships and an ongoing commitment to local communities throughout the pandemic. Through its codeshare agreement with China Southern Airlines, Emirates offers passengers additional connections to eight domestic points via Guangzhou, while offering customers of its partner airlines access to additional destinations within the Middle East and Africa.

Offering 14 first-class suites, 76 lie-flat seats in business class and 426 ergonomically designed seats in economy class, the Emirates A380 is still a favorite among travelers. Passengers traveling to and from Guangzhou can look forward to enjoying its spacious and comfortable cabin, with signature products such as the in-flight lounge, first-class suites and spa showers to provide passengers with the best in-flight experience.

Passengers traveling between Shanghai and Beijing can enjoy Emirates’ award-winning service and industry-leading products on board the airline’s three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which offers 8 first-class private suites and 42 lie-flat business class seats Seats First Class and Economy Class 304 spacious seats. – trade arab news agency
