Emirates Group celebrates UAE Women’s Day – Dubai Blog

On this UAE Women’s Day, the Emirates Group held a live forum to celebrate the contributions of talented Emirati women both inside and outside the organization. The forum was held in a virtual way and invited a group of Emirati women who are well-known in different roles and fields. The forum was hosted by Bakhita Al Muhairi, Emirates’ co-pilot, and she also talked about her experience working in the aviation industry as an Emirati woman. The team also includes Reema Al Marzooqi, Vice President of Fraud Prevention, Investigation and Cybercrime, Emirates Group.

The forum also invited a special guest, Major Roudha Al Shamsi, Director of the Integrated Department of Forensic Sciences and Criminology of the Dubai Police. Discussions during the forum highlighted the contributions of UAE women in various fields, the value they bring to the UAE’s growing talent pool, and how they support the development of the UAE and help realize its leadership vision. The atmosphere of the forum was warm and received positive responses from the audience. The speakers shared their success stories, challenges, how they found the goal to continue their mission, and other topics. They also answered questions from the participants.

Early in the morning, UAE female colleagues from all over the Emirates Group gathered together for a cake-cutting ceremony and took a group photo.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Said Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Group, said: “Emirati women enrich the UAE’s talent pool and work hard to help realize the vision of this great country and its leadership. Their ambition and unwavering dedication enable them to thrive, challenge the possibilities of various industries and blaze a trail. As the UAE prepares for the next 50 years of progress, we salute all UAE women and celebrate their contribution to the development of our country because they inspire a new generation.”

The Emirates aviation industry has benefited from the continued leadership and contribution of women in the UAE. The Emirates Group is committed to identifying and nurturing these talents to ensure that they make progress in supporting the wider Emirates and business communities. The group currently has more than 1,100 UAE female employees in various functional departments. They are engaged in a wide range of occupations, from leadership roles to front-line responsibilities, to corporate functions and flight operations.
