Always at the forefront of aviation innovation, the Emirates Group is hosting the first edition of ForsaTEK, an annual event and a platform to create new opportunities, bringing together two start-ups – Intelak and Aviation X Lab – and partnerships with universities Partnerships – Profiles of technology and industry partners, startups and key players in the ecosystem.
Officially opening the event, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Airline and Group, said: “Innovation has been the Emirates Group’s An integral part of our DNA. As technology advances, we are constantly striving to deliver better value and solutions to our customers by adapting and implementing them in our business.
“ForsaTEK is another platform to showcase technological innovations and their application in our industry. Together with our like-minded partners and some of the brightest minds across industries, we have built a robust ecosystem of incubators offering cutting-edge measures.”

ForsaTEK will be held at the Emirates Group headquarters on March 9-10 in partnership with industry partners for two days around aviation, travel and tourism. The event is conceived as a platform to showcase the future of tourism through entrepreneurship and innovation, foster collaboration, encourage the incubator community and drive thought-provoking ideas.

Emirates Group’s partners in this unique event include Accenture, Airbus, Amadeus, Collins Aerospace, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, GE Aerospace, Microsoft and Thales.
They captivated the audience with several standout showcases and demonstrations, including Emirates Group’s first robotic boarding experience, Microsoft’s AI, GE Aerospace’s digital solutions focused on efficiency and safety, and Thales’ eSIM. The Dubai Future Foundation presented their work and aspirations for the city, and Maha Gaber, founder of Digital and Savvy, engaged the audience in ‘building your own brand’.
Startup Souk
In the souk-style exhibition space, more than 20 start-ups, either affiliated with Intelak or the Aviation X Lab, showcased their innovations and presented their vision for the next big thing in travel to a large audience of VIPs, investors and a wider audience vision for the technology industry.
Emirates Chief Operating Officer Adel Al Redha elaborates on aviation innovations and new technologies in an insightful fireside chat. Engaging panel discussions include hot topics such as women in travel and tech just after International Women’s Day, and AI ChatGPT. On March 10, the event will invite university students to experience new technologies, inspire a new generation and discuss issues of youth empowerment.
ForsaTEK is derived from “Forsa”, which means “your opportunity” in Arabic, a play on the words “tech” and “UAE” (code EK).
The Emirates Group has partnered with partners Amadeus, Microsoft, Accenture and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism to create Intelak, a start-up incubator and accelerator program. The program aims to identify and support start-ups in the travel, tourism and aviation sectors and provide mentorship, resources and funding opportunities to help them grow and succeed.
Aviation X Lab is a visionary partnership between the Emirates Group, Collins Aerospace, Thales, Airbus and GE Aerospace to transform the aviation industry by enhancing the customer journey.
