The Emirates Group of Dubai announced on Tuesday mass recruitment drive More cabin crew, pilots, customer service staff and engineers are being hired in the coming months as the industry looks set to maintain its strong post-pandemic growth.

In 2022-23 alone, the group will increase 85,219 employees, The number of employees reached 102,379, an increase of 20.1% over the previous year.

The new staff will primarily be recruited for two of the group’s entities, Emirates and airport services provider dnata. The Dubai flag carrier will be hiring new staff as it expands its network and will take delivery of a new fleet of Airbus A350s and Boeing 777-Xs next year.

Below are the qualifications and salaries for cabin crew, pilot and customer service positions:

flight crew

  • Fluent written and spoken English (other languages ​​are preferred)
  • Be at least 160cm tall and up to 212cm tall
  • Ability to meet UAE employment visa requirements
  • 1 year hospitality/customer service experience
  • Minimum high school education
  • No visible tattoos while in uniform
  • Basic monthly salary Dh4,430,
  • AED 63.75 per hour flight wages
  • 80-100 flight hours per month
  • Average gross salary Dh10,170
  • Accommodation/Transportation to and from the airport

pilot

  • Direct access to Captain A380
  • Recently conducted more than 3,000 hours in command of Airbus FBW wide-body aircraft on A330/A340/A350/380
  • Have flown at least 150 hours in the past 12 months
  • Valid ICAO ATPL with unrestricted Class 1 medical examination
  • Fluent in English
  • Salary AED 43,650
  • AED 42,750 Child Primary Education Allowance
  • Dh65,250 Secondary education allowance for children
  • 42 calendar days annual leave
  • Annual leave tickets confirmed by the pilot and his family

co-pilot

  • At least 2,000 hours on Airbus FBW/Modern Boeing aircraft
  • Have flown at least 150 hours in the past 12 months
  • A valid ICAO ATPL and an unlimited first class medical certificate issued by the same body
  • Salary AED 30,826
  • AED 42,750 Child Primary Education Allowance
  • Dh65,250 Secondary education allowance for children
  • 42 calendar days annual leave
  • Annual leave tickets confirmed by the pilot and his family

customer service

  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Fluency in any other language is an advantage
  • A Levels / High School Certificate
  • Willingness to work in a shift environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/E-mail, etc.
  • Willingness to wear uniform (frontline roles)
  • Attractive tax-free salary
