ABU DHABI, 25th May, 2023 (WAM) — Four employees of the Abu Dhabi Police have been certified by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations, IFIA, for inventing a smart helmet that analyzes brain signals , attention patterns and use artificial intelligence algorithms to help improve the concentration of officers.
Major Ahmed Obeid Al Obaidly, Deputy Director, Innovation and Future Prospects Department, Abu Dhabi Police, said: “Our participation in this event is in line with Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy to strengthen institutional excellence, encourage creativity and innovation and ensure readiness for the future.
“The smart helmet invented by the Abu Dhabi Police is a wearable electronic device that helps police officers improve their concentration. It is also capable of analyzing brain signals, attention patterns, and sends recommendations using artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to improve concentration levels The device supports the development of training programs, improves productivity and improves police performance. The helmet reads accurately, is easy to operate, and has high work efficiency and privacy.”
The accreditation was obtained during Abu Dhabi Police’s Innovation and Future Vision Department’s participation in the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, known as the world’s most prestigious invention exhibition, with around 1,000 inventors from 45 countries join.
The certification by the International Federation of Inventors Associations (IFIA) brings the total number of internationally recognized inventors employed by Abu Dhabi Police to seven and helps strengthen Abu Dhabi’s innovation ecosystem.
