During the ongoing Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, government officials have published a book explaining the timely strategies and ingenious tactics employed by local authorities to combat the spread of Covid-19.

A book titled “AI and Big Data in the Fight Against Covid-19” by Dr Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, the UAE Government’s Head of Cyber ​​Security, provides interesting insights into how authorities are utilizing advanced technology.

“This book explores the critical role of technology in the UAE’s vaccination campaign to help optimize the distribution of vaccines and ensure timely delivery to its citizens,” said Al Kuwaiti, who is currently the Managing Director of the Supreme National Data Centre. National Security Council.

The book also describes efficient and effective initiatives such as national disinfection programs, drive-thru Covid-19 testing centers, field hospitals, economic stimulus packages, distance learning, food safety strategies, humanitarian initiatives, and data privacy and confidentiality.

Referring to the arsenal of smart solutions and technologies, Al Kuwaiti noted that his book sheds light on the “significant role” that AI and big data can play in tracking and predicting the spread of the coronavirus, identifying vulnerable populations, and pinpointing high-risk areas “Effective containment and mitigation measures.

By harnessing these new-age technologies, the UAE government has demonstrated an “unwavering commitment” to safeguard the health and well-being of everyone in the country.

Al Kuwaiti emphasized that readers will gain “invaluable insights” into the transformative impact of AI-driven big data analytics in the fight against the pandemic, inspiring future efforts in public health and crisis management.

He pointed out that the UAE is facing multiple challenges posed by the virus and has become a pioneer in harnessing the power of artificial intelligence and big data to tackle the outbreak head-on. By deploying cutting-edge machine learning algorithms and real-time big data analytics powered by Presight, the UAE government embarks on a transformative mission to overcome the pandemic.

Abu Dhabi-based Presight, a leading provider of artificial intelligence and big data analytics solutions, has played a key role in driving the UAE’s dynamic response to the pandemic. Its solutions enable governments to make rapid, data-driven decisions, ensuring the effective implementation of decisive measures in a rapidly changing environment.
