CAIRO, 5th March, 2023 (WAM) — Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has highlighted the long-standing, special relationship between the UAE and Egypt in all aspects.
This is the message he received today from Abu Dhabi Ports CEO Mohamed Al Shamsi.
Sisi affirmed that Egypt highly values ​​the strong and privileged relationship it shares with the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He also emphasized his eagerness to continue fruitful and constructive cooperation in various fields for the benefit of the people of Egypt and the UAE.
Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency, said the meeting discussed prospects for cooperation with the AD Ports Group, especially in the development of logistics areas and ports.
Shamisi said that the group looks forward to strengthening cooperation with Egypt, given the brotherhood between the two countries and peoples, as well as the unique factors that Egypt possesses, making it a regional and global logistics hub. He noted that the country has made rapid and steady progress over the past few years, especially in the expansion and modernization of infrastructure, to ensure that Egypt has the capacity to secure investment and support regional and international approaches to become a world-class destination in various fields. . trading.
The meeting was attended by Ahmad Al Mutawa, Head of Abu Dhabi Ports International, and Mariam Khalifa Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative of the UAE to the Arab League.
