ABU DHABI, 20th June, 2023 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has hailed the ERC This year, the Year of Sustainable Development, aims to strengthen the growing role of the state in supporting humanitarian and development initiatives and reducing the impact of disasters and crises around the world.

This was during a meeting of the ERC’s board of directors at the Authority’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, chaired by Sheikh Hamdan, where he highlighted the pioneering role the ERC plays in the development and humanitarian fields, in addition to providing homeless.
In this regard, Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the ERC’s current efforts in several areas and commended the board’s role in guiding the authority to further improve its performance.
Ahead of the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed met with a number of distinguished ERC staff and volunteers in the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, who presented the work and activities that will help strengthen the Authority .
