Held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) from February 20 to 24, the exhibition was attended by more than 1,353 companies from all over the world and attracted approximately 132,507 visitors.
This year’s edition marks a historic achievement for the event, which is considered the most important defense exhibition in the world.
The success of this year’s edition cements IDEX & NAVDEX’s global status as the world’s largest defense event, marking yet another success story in the show’s journey that began nearly 30 years ago.

This year, the International Defense Congress attracted more than 1,800 attendees, an increase of more than 25% compared to the previous edition.
The conference consisted of four panel sessions covering the widespread adoption of new technologies, talent development and human capital management, the impact of emerging technologies on modern defense operations, and the social and economic impact and risks of the latest technological trends.
More than 17 speakers attended, including defense sector leaders, ministers and senior officials from around the world.
This year’s edition saw first-time features and initiatives that helped strengthen its position as the world’s foremost defense industry event. In addition, 9 new countries including Uzbekistan, Ireland, Nigeria, Montenegro, Kuwait, Lithuania, Bangladesh, and Monaco participated in the exhibition for the first time.
The newly added Hall 13 this year has a total area of more than 2,200 square meters to receive new exhibitors. An additional hall including a dedicated Startup Zone was also launched, covering more than 1,500 square meters and accommodating more than 83 startups from 25 countries around the world, offering them the opportunity to showcase their most outstanding technologies and products. The event also featured IDEX & NAVDEX Talks, attracting senior policy makers from government and the private sector, and the first-ever IDEX Think Tank program, featuring closed-door sessions with experts and industry professionals.
This year’s NAVDEX saw the participation of naval vessels from eight countries, including Pakistan, Bahrain, United Kingdom, Italy, China, Kuwait, India and the United Arab Emirates. The vessels are on display at ADNEC Port and Zayed Port, and include a range of seaborne vessels participating in the exhibition.
The grandstand area at ADNEC and the canal area at ADNEC Marina saw live demonstrations of many of the latest equipment and defense vehicles, some of which were on display for the first time, showcasing the capabilities of the vehicles and marine vessels in use across various sectors.
For the first time in show history, both exhibits include exhibit overviews, giving visitors an insight into new and improved exhibit features and updating them with the most inspiring speakers and exhibitor updates. The Innovation Journey presents a selection of innovative products, making it easier for visitors to pick the best from the thousands of innovative products showcased at the two exhibitions.
