ST PETERSBURG, 15th June, 2023 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today presented the UAE Pavilion at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2023 unveiled.
“The UAE’s participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2023 demonstrates its eagerness to examine new ways to strengthen partnerships and collaboration with other countries,” the RAK ruler said in his inaugural speech.
He went on to stress that people are the basis of sustainable development and that “the ultimate goal of the state is to ensure their happiness and well-being”.
The UAE Pavilion at the event highlighted the UAE’s economic, tourism and cultural excellence, and how the country utilizes its resources, especially human capital.
“In the UAE, we pride ourselves on the fact that experience is judged on achievement rather than the passage of time. Quality rather than quantity is the foundation of our workplace culture. The protection of our beliefs and identities coexists with excellence and innovation ,” Sheikh Shat pointed out.
Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, welcomed the UAE to the forum as the country of honor.
In his speech at the opening of the UAE Pavilion, the Russian minister praised the bilateral relations and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Salem bin Khaled Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture and Youth, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, and a delegation of UAE members, as well as several officials.
After the opening, Sheikh Saud toured the pavilion and was briefed by the organizers on the UAE’s promising investment opportunities and attractive business environment.
He also visited the exhibitions of the forum, visited the exhibition halls of some major companies in the public and private sectors, and discussed cooperation opportunities in various fields of common interest.
The UAE Pavilion will host dialogue sessions where representatives of the UAE business community will discuss promising investment opportunities in various sectors with countries around the world. The pavilion will also host a number of cultural and heritage events to reflect the traditional identity and authenticity of the UAE.
