ABU DHABI, 22nd January, 2023 (WAM) — 2022 promises to be another stellar year for Strata, the advanced manufacturing and aerospace manufacturing company headquartered at its state-of-the-art factory in Al Ain, during which, Mubadala has established itself as a transformative company capable of shaping the future of manufacturing in the UAE.
The important milestone of 30 production lines by 2022 is only the beginning of a series of groundbreaking industry developments for the company, which is owned by Mubadala.

Last year, the Strata team designed, developed, qualified and deployed automated robotic satellite drilling on the Boeing 787 vertical tail program and an automated robotic drilling and spot facing solution on the Airbus A350 IBF – two flagship partners An important step forward has been taken. A robotic thermal imaging solution was delivered to the Strata NDI team.
Strata celebrated the completion of the First Article Inspection (FAI) of the PC-24 bullet fairing and tail cone, following the delivery of their 100th PC-24 flap track fairing to a growing list of high profile international customers.
The ongoing relationship and flagship contract with Pilatus continued to grow during the year, with four additional work packages for PC-24 and PC-12 utilizing thermocompression for the first time in UAE history.
This dovetails with another key brand asset that underpins Strata’s continued success: promotion and investment in UAE nationals. Currently, 64% of Strata’s workforce is made up of UAE nationals, and by 2022, more than 400 nationals will graduate from the company’s groundbreaking Aerostructures Technician Training Programme. With an impressively progressive vision, 88% of Strata’s UAE workforce are women, setting a clear brand intent for the future of the company, the industry and the country as a whole. In fact, women make up 63% of UAE team leaders and 62% of UAE team supervisors; a strong indication of Strata’s progressive status in aerospace, manufacturing and beyond.
The chaos of the past few years has had no shortage of challenges, and Strata has acted decisively to overcome them all. At its heart is the launch of the company’s advanced manufacturing strategy, which brings agility and diversity at the heart of the company’s vision for the future. The year saw agreements with Hyperganic and EOS to develop an industry-defining and world-first energy-efficient air-conditioning system, and a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (giving Strata the coveted 4.0 Network), and a new contract with MBRSC to fabricate the structure for MBZ-SAT’s Dubai Sat 4. Excitingly, we have also entered into a partnership with Bidaya Media in 2022 to produce a new series of the hugely popular ‘The Adventures of Mansur’, adding another string to Strata’s already impressive bow string.
