FUNAFUTI, TUVALU, 7th March, 2023 (WAM) — Rashid Matar Al Qemzi handed over his credentials to the Rev. Tuvalu Governor-General Tofiga Vaevalu Falani, as the UAE’s non-resident ambassador, during a ceremony at the State House in the country’s capital, Funafuti.
Al Qemzi conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, And their wishes for further development and prosperity to Farani and the people of Tuvalu.
The Governor of Tuvalu conveyed his greetings to the UAE leaders and wished the UAE government and people further development and prosperity.
Farani wished the ambassador smooth performance of duties and the enhancement of bilateral relations. He also stressed his country’s readiness to provide all possible support to further his mission.
As far as the ambassador is concerned, he is proud to represent the UAE in Tuvalu and is eager to continue developing bilateral relations in key areas.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed areas of cooperation between the UAE and Tuvalu and discussed ways to develop these areas to fulfill the aspirations of the two countries and their peoples.
