Emtelle signs Kezad to develop $50M manufacturing unit


Emtelle, a leading global manufacturer of passive optical network solutions, and the Abu Dhabi Khalifa Economic Zone – Kezad Group announced today that they have signed an agreement to build one of the largest fiber optic duct and prefabricated fiber optic manufacturing facilities in the world. connectivity solutions.

Emtelle will invest approximately $50 million in three phases of manufacturing.

The building will be located on a 48,000sqm site and will be leased under a custom build agreement with Kezad. The facility will provide Emtelle with the opportunity to expand its manufacturing capabilities for fiber optic network microducts, bundled ducts and pre-connection solutions in the region and globally, a statement said. The agreement is the latest move by Emtelle to expand in the Middle East following the acquisition and rebranding of AfriPipes Middle East in 2021. Emtelle is also making a major expansion into the North American market by opening a manufacturing facility in North Carolina.
