NEW DELHI, 19th March, 2023 (WAM) — The UAE-India Investor Conference, comprising meetings between entrepreneurs from different emirates and the government of Jammu and Kashmir, business networking and discussions on foreign investment opportunities in the Union Territory, will On March 19, Srinagar City.
This was announced today by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. The session will feature a speech by the Deputy Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, who will unveil his views on investment and trade initiatives between the Union Territory and the UAE.
Jammu and Kashmir has been one of India’s eight Union Territories since October 2019.
Sinha will also witness the groundbreaking ceremony of the Srinagar Shopping Center invested by the UAE.
With the increase in exports of apples, saffron, walnuts, vegetables and dried fruits from Jammu and Kashmir to the Gulf since the COVID-19 pandemic, private sector investment from the UAE is being used to build food processing and logistics hubs in the Union Territory .
Emirati investors visited Srinagar last year to explore business opportunities. Monday’s investor meeting was a follow-up to that visit.
