Emirates News Agency – UAE President issues law establishing Abu Dhabi Media Office in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 12th January, 2023 (WAM) — President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has issued a law providing for Abu Dhabi Media Office.

new entity supersedes Abu Dhabi Government Media Officeand have Creative Media Authority and Abu Dhabi Media Company under its umbrella.

As an independent entity, the Abu Dhabi Media Office (ADMO) will oversee the unified media in the emirate by developing Abu Dhabi’s media strategy, coordinating the media plans and policies of Abu Dhabi government entities, and regulating and licensing media Ecosystem activities in the emirate, including free zones.

The new entity will form strategic partnerships with local, regional and international media organizations to further the growth of Abu Dhabi’s media industry.

It will intensify efforts to align media campaigns and strategic plans among government entities, in addition to approving relevant media plans and coordinating with relevant entities to monitor their activities locally and internationally.

To further increase the capacity of the media sector, the ADMO will develop plans, policies and programs to strengthen the capacity of the media teams of government entities.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office will also oversee the development of brand guidelines for the use of the Abu Dhabi Government logo and promotional brand.

To further develop creative media in the emirate, ADMO will coordinate with relevant entities and media organizations to provide an enabling environment for creative entities to flourish by supporting private sector companies, in addition to developing initiatives to attract media content and strengthen it in the emirate.
