ABU DHABI, 22nd March, 2023 (WAM) — The UAE Professional League and the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, to strengthen cooperation in the humanitarian and community sectors, among other joint activities.
The MoU was signed by Abdulla Naser Al Junaibi, Chairman of the UAE Professional League, and Hamoud Abdullah Al Junaibi, Secretary General of the ERC.
The agreement aims to strengthen areas of cooperation and exchange of experience, leveraging the services provided by both parties in areas of mutual interest, as well as the coordination of social responsibility projects and volunteering between the two parties.
According to the MoU, the UAE Pro League will contribute to the activities of the Authority’s projects by promoting these projects in competitions organized by the UAE Pro League and benefiting from the sports facilities, which will host humanitarian events organized by the ERC.
Abdulla Al Jneibi commended the ERC’s efforts to serve humanity and alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable under its philanthropic initiatives and projects, stressing that the MoU affirms the passion of professional leagues and professional clubs in the UAE in strengthening the role of society.
For his part, the ERC Secretary-General welcomed the UAE Pro League’s move to strengthen its humanitarian partnership with the ERC. He also added that the ERC is keen to strengthen partnerships with state institutions and institutions to create a better future for humanitarian work and ensure a decent life for those targeted by the authorities’ activities.
