Emirates News Agency – UAE’s strong humanitarian conviction shown in evacuation of foreigners from Sudan: Serbian diplomat

ABU DHABI, 29th April, 2023 (WAM) — A Serbian diplomat has hailed the UAE for evacuating some of her own citizens as a testament to the UAE’s humanitarian solidarity, reaching out and providing assistance to countries around the world.

“On behalf of the leadership of the Republic of Serbia, we express our gratitude, gratitude and appreciation to the leadership, government and people of the UAE for their humanitarian support,” said Danica Savović, Chargé d’affaires for Serbs, Ambassador to the UAE The embassy told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that an evacuation plane arrived in Abu Dhabi today carrying foreigners from 16 brotherly and friendly countries in Sudan.

She went on to say that during the evacuation, the UAE stood with the many Serbs in Sudan, showing a high level of respect for their fellow human beings that permeated the UAE society, as evidenced by their kindness and welcome towards the evacuees.
She noted that the UAE evacuated some Serbs today, including a family with children, and extended warmth and welcome to them.

“The evacuees were assured and given adequate housing so they can continue to return safely to their countries,” the diplomat added.
