ABU DHABI, 7th July, 2022 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Environment Agency, EAD, announced today that it is one of the recipients of the Gold Quality Choice Award from the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR).
EAD has been recognised for its quality management and implementation of a long list of programmes through which it has achieved a number of achievements in the field of environmental protection and species conservation at local, regional and global levels.
Abu Dhabi Environment Agency is the first environmental agency in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to receive this prestigious international award, the highest award in the ESQR model of excellence.
Rashed Alremeithi, Executive Director, Corporate Services, and Saoud Alneyadi, Director, Customer Happiness, represented EAD at the awards ceremony on July 3, 2022 in Barcelona, Spain.
At the event, 43 companies, public administrations and organisations representing 38 countries and different industries in Europe, Asia, America, Africa and Australia received the 2022 Quality Choice Award at the Barcelona Marriott Hotel.
In her remarks, Dr Shaikha Salem Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of Abu Dhabi Environment Agency, said: “Improving the environmental situation in Abu Dhabi is our main mission at EAD and we work around the clock to ensure that all our activities are delivered on time and in compliance with state-of-the-art. Standards. We have a team of qualified experts who base all of our policies and regulations on very accurate scientific data and leverage state-of-the-art technology for maximum impact initiatives.
“Receiving the ESQR’s Quality Choice Gold Award is proof that we are heading in the right direction and that our work speaks for itself. This award will remind us that we need to maintain our high quality standards and always strive to be the best in all our future endeavors. Our environmental work uses newer, modern processes and systems,” she added.
