Emirates News Agency – World Volunteer Congress 2022 concludes in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 2nd November, 2022 (WAM) — The Emirates Foundation is in Abu Dhabi during the 26th World Volunteer Congress under the theme “Volunteering for the Common Good: Making Lives Better for People and Communities”. The event was a huge success. The event is co-hosted by the Emirates Foundation and the International Association of Volunteer Efforts (IAVE) at ADNOC Business Centre from 24 October to 27 October 2022.

The conference was unique in that it was attended by leaders from more than 100 countries around the world, participants from the volunteer community including civil society organizations, government agencies, academia and business, and global stakeholders, to share their views on the importance of volunteerism and its role in the development of nations and civilizations.

The “World Volunteer Conference” is the first “World Volunteer Conference” held by Abu Dhabi in the Middle East after surpassing the three shortlisted cities. It is considered to be one of the largest gatherings of volunteer experts in the world, aiming to explore the importance of volunteering. and its development in nations and civilizations.

Attendees enjoyed the inaugural event from 24 October, including a gala dinner, followed by various discussions and workshops on 25 and 26 October, in addition to cultural evenings and group visits to Abu Dhabi cultural sites October 27, including Qasr Al Hosn, Qasr Al Watan and the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
