Emirates to increase frequency of flights to Mauritius

[ad_1]

Emirates plans to increase the frequency of its flights to Mauritius to three times a day from 1 October 2022, announced following the reintroduction of two daily flights.

The additional night service will run until 31 January 2023 to account for increased travel demand to and from Mauritius and will facilitate connectivity with the island nation.

Emirates’ third day flight to Mauritius will operate according to the following schedule (all times local): EK 709 leaves Dubai at 22:10 and arrives in Mauritius at 04:45. The EK 710 leaves Mauritius at 06:30 and arrives in Dubai at 13:05.

Flights on the third day will increase seat capacity to and from Mauritius by about 35% to meet the surge in demand and provide additional support for the tourism industry during one of the busiest tourist seasons.

The increased frequency complements the existing Airbus A380’s twice-daily service and will provide passengers travelling to Mauritius with greater flexibility when planning travel in addition to the existing EK 0701 service, in addition to the existing EK 0701 service. In addition to the 0701 service, you can also choose to arrive at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport early in the morning. Arrived in the morning, EK 0703 arrived in the evening.

Passengers leaving Mauritius will also have the option to travel safely and seamlessly to Dubai and via Dubai to Emirates’ global network of 130 destinations. All three daily flights offer codeshare with Air Mauritius for wider access and a seamless travel experience to and from the island nation.

Emirates Group Chairman and Chief Executive Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said: “We thank the Mauritian authorities for considering our request to operate a third daily flight. Air Connectivity Critical to international tourism, these extra seats will help us bring more tourists to Mauritius from our network and meet growing demand. In May, Emirates renewed its Memorandum of Understanding with the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) to jointly promote the island destination through Emirates’ global network. Mauritius is a very popular leisure destination and continues to see sustained growth post-pandemic.

Emirates’ third daily flight between Dubai and Mauritius will provide businesses with around 30-40 tonnes of cargo belly capacity, further opening up global trade routes by increasing import and export opportunities.

Emirates began operating three weekly flights to Mauritius in September 2002 and is now in its 20th year to destinations in the Indian Ocean.

Emirates has been building connections in response to growing customer demand, amid rising travel confidence and easing of international travel agreements. Emirates is stepping up connectivity and expanding its Tel Aviv schedule with a second daily flight and recently resumed passenger service to London Stansted, fully resuming its pre-pandemic return as travelers return to the skies. flight frequency. – arab trade news agency
