A LinkedIn survey found that a majority of employees in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) expressed confidence in accessing new job opportunities inside or outside their companies, which offer flexibility and higher salaries.
68% of workers in Saudi Arabia and 74% in the UAE are confident of securing new job positions, despite slower levels of hiring in Europe and the Middle East in 2022 compared to 2021, the findings released on Tuesday noted.
Only 10% of UAE workers and 11% of Saudi workers said they lacked confidence in finding a new job this year, according to a LinkedIn survey of 22,985 workers from the US, UK, Germany, India, Singapore and more. UAE and Saudi Arabia, 12 September 9-19.
In the UAE and Saudi Arabia, nearly seven in 10 workers feel confident pushing for wage increases. Despite increased confidence in advancing their current role, 77% of UAE workers and 73% of Saudi workers are considering changing jobs in 2023.

LinkedIn says millennials are the most willing to switch employers, with 15 percent more confidence in their ability to apply for a job, interview, and land a better new job in 2023 than their younger colleagues.
That’s because about 80% of millennials (typically those born between 1980 and 1995) feel a lack of investment from their employers and feel undervalued, unmotivated and underpaid.
Gen Z workers (under the age of 25) report that they are very concerned about job security because they worry that their employers are not coping well with the current economic uncertainty.
While many workers feel more confident about their career prospects, concerns about job security and a preference for remote work options remain prevalent, the survey showed.
Six in 10 respondents said they would turn down a new office-based job offer in favor of hybrid or remote work.
