Abu Dhabi has been climbing new heights when it comes to hosting entertainment events. After Yas Island was built, Abu Dhabi became the entertainment capital of the UAE. Since then, major events have flocked. Extreme self-driving racing is gaining popularity in Abu Dhabi. Now, the world’s largest autonomous racing league is coming to the UAE capital in the second quarter of 2024.
Iconic race to be held at Yas Marina Circuit

ASPIRE initiates the formation of the largest autonomous racing alliance to achieve its goal of establishing a top research and development (R&D) base in Abu Dhabi. The race will begin in the second quarter of 2024 with an autonomous car race.
The first of many self-driving car races is planned for Abu Dhabi at the famous Yas Marina circuit in the United Arab Emirates. The Abu Dhabi Autonomous Car Race will use a Dallara-built Super Formula car. Japan Racing Promotions, Inc. has made this feature available and will receive up to $2.25 million (JRP).

Autonomous racing league to take place in 2024

The Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League, which will debut in 2024, will host several autonomous vehicle competitions, including autonomous off-road racing, autonomous drone racing and more. The self-driving car race will be the first of these. Thus, Abu Dubai and the United Arab Emirates will be the epicenter of extreme self-driving racing. Universities, public research institutions and teams from previous autonomous driving competitions around the world are welcome to participate.
Fans can look forward to real-time information from augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) infographics and on-screen displays. Motorsports fans will be able to explore a whole new realm of entertainment while witnessing intense self-driving racing competitions.
JRP will grant the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing Federation exclusive rights to use the Dallara Super Formula car. You could call it one of the most technologically advanced race cars in the world. It allows ASPIRE to use it to push the boundaries and top speed of autonomous driving. Significant JRP members will also pass on the extensive knowledge of racial organization they have acquired over the course of more than 50 years, initially beginning in 1973.
