Cheech Marin, half of Cheech and Chong’s iconic comedy team, will be attending The HighLifeStyle Show and will deliver a keynote address to exhibitors, VIPs and hotel guests Saturday night. A well-known art collector and actor who has appeared in several films, including the voice of Ramone in the Pixar Motors Movie franchise and starred in TV shows such as Nash Bridges, Cheech is involved in the cannabis business with his branded products. He will sign and provide photos on Saturday and Sunday (both for a fee).
marijuana! Viper Vaudeville will make its New England debut on Friday, October 7th at 8pm on the HighLifeStyle Show. Dubbed “a cannabis celebration full of music and dance” by The New York Times, it was the featured entertainment for the opening night festivities, with a Saturday matinee at 3 p.m. Created by Grace Galu, “a magnetic, powerful singer” and Baba Israel, who conceived the show and served as its magical mystery MC, “Cannabis! Like a party, weed is VIP.”
On Friday, October 7th, for VIPs, exhibitors and hotel guests only, legendary New Hampshire reggae stars Roots of Creation and Brett Wilson pledged to kick off the HighLifeStyleShow with a captivating dance at 3:00pm.
On Saturday, October 8th, The Boxboro Regency’s outdoor main stage will begin with adrenaline-pumping surf music from Tsunami Tsunami at 10:30am; followed by “Steampunk Dada Favorites” (NPR) Walter Sickert & The Army of Broken Toys; then harpist-singer Mikaela Davis and her band Southern Star bring her original and genre-bending music that blends ’60s-pop melodies, psychedelics, and rock.Concert ends with Boston’s iconic soul and R&B singer Barrons Whitfield
No cannabis gathering is complete without the clear voice of The Wailers, who kick off the main stage on Sunday, October 9th at 3:00pm. The band, now led by Aston Barrett Jr., himself a reggae royal and son of the irrepressible “Family Guy”, will play a special set that includes Bob Incredible clips from Bob Marley’s exciting catalog, and their greatest classic hits.
Sunday’s main stage concert kicked off with Justine’s Black Threads, starring Justine Covault as the trio created a powerful “alt-country” sound, followed by New England legend Jon Butcher Axis, who contributed their soulful Vocals and psychedelic guitar playing of fusion rock, funk, jazz, American and blues to Sunday’s festivities until The Wailers.
Weekend entertainment also includes a stand-up performance from New England comedian Matt Barry, Mona Foggio, Ian StewartJosh Day, Troy Burditt and Dan Hall, who will stream his popular Weed Game Show live on Saturday and Sunday.
Fans will also be met, signed and photographed by Jon Provost, known as “Timmy” on the TV show Lassie, who has been a marijuana user since the mid-1960s. We welcome dog owners with their pets to take photos with Jon at our pet friendly venue.
The artists are part of HighLifeStyle and will be joined by designer Mark Arminski, who has been creating concert posters and cannabis celebratory posters for decades; and Joy Mars, a New England legend who has worked for the Grateful Dead and Aerosmith among others people work. Authors include acclaimed Hollywood writer Laurie Jacobson (Hollywood Heartbreak); addicted animal series writer Sam Miserendino, author of “Give a Dog a Doobie” and “Give a Bear a Beer,” and Emmy winner, Artist and creator Bill Diamond, who will be posing with Audrey II from the Little Shop of Horror, Skeksis from The Dark Crystal and many other creations.
